Carol Faenzi divides her time between her house in Indianapolis and her family farm in Italy. After a New York career in business consulting, she began researching her family history and became fascinated by the Italian stonecarvers who transferred their skills from the marble mined in Carrara to the limestone quarries of southern Indiana.
On Thursday, October 8, Faenzi will talk about what she learned in "From the Marble Quarries of Italy to Indiana Limestone: The Legacy of an Italian Stonecarver," at Indiana Landmarks Center, 1201 Central Avenue in Indianapolis. Doors open 5:30 p.m. when a cash bar is available, followed by the lecture at 6 p.m.
