For the 55th year, the streets of Clinton, Indiana are filled with colors of the Italian flag as they prepare for their Little Italy Festival. This event first started in 1966 but was cancelled last year due to COVID. Italian and American flags flood the downtown streets as organizers and community members are putting the finishing touches on this year’s Little Italy Festival.
Preparations for this event began in January as organizers wanted to be as prepared as possible for residents and guests who will be in town. The festival will run from Friday to Monday with the parade being on Friday. The parade isn’t the only treat the Little Italy Festival Board has planned for guests. Clinton Mayor Jack Gilfoy Jr. says not only does the festival bring the city together but it is great for the community economically.
