Mark your calendars now: The popular free concert “Opera in the Italian Garden” will be presented on the lawn of the Renaissance Italian Cultural Garden from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, July 26. This family-friendly concert includes famous music from well-known operas and Broadway musicals, and features The Cleveland Opera and Cleveland Ballet.
The event highlights two of Italy's greatest cultural arts: opera and ballet, both of which originated in Renaissance Italy. It's a perfect opportunity to introduce children to the great Italian opera composers while relaxing on the lawn of the Renaissance Italian Garden, Cleveland's cultural monument to Italy in Rockefeller Park, 990 East Blvd.
