The Italian American Club of Tallahassee was established in 1991 when several local, first generation Italians came together full of ideas about forming an Italian organization in Tallahassee. It began with Robert Molinari and Ariella Monti-Graziadei , who you may remember was the owner and culinary expert of La Lanterna, Ariella’s Taste of Italy.
Founding members, along with Molinari and Ariella, were Maurizio Bertoldi, Leo and Nina Cinelli, and Larry and Vera Amuso. They agreed that the club would not only be a social club but more importantly it had to be a cultural and charitable organization.
