Public programs coordinator Randi Ringnes said the MIM works to make every Experience event, especially ones focusing on the same culture, slightly different. "We've make a conscious effort to switch it up and highlight different artists and showcase Italy in different ways," Ringnes said. "My favorite part about this is we get to highlight local musicians who have a passion for Italian music and culture."
The museum's Experience series has also showcased the music, dance and culture of India, Norway, the Andean region, Polynesia, France and Ireland. The museum often works with local, national and international cultural groups to organize the Experience weekends. For Experience Italy, the MIM partnered with the Italian Association of Arizona and the National Italian American Foundation.
