On the blistering Fifth Avenue streets, armed with bustling tourists and haute couture icons, there lies a piece of Italy: the Armani Ristorante Fifth Avenue. Posted inside Giorgio Armani’s New York flagship store, this contemporary and elegant midtown gem presents a unique sensory experience—with eyes set on Central Park in the background—lending homage to Italian gastronomic tradition. One that was a personal vision of Mr. Armani 10 years ago and is now an innovative home to an orchestration of culinary inspirations.
And with upcoming plans for a New Year’s Eve black tie dinner, we sat down with the godfather of the power suit himself inside his Fifth Avenue flagship store to hear more about his exciting plans for this exquisite evening, how his journey into the food and beverage world began, and his thoughts on celebrating a decade-long anniversary in 2019.
