Italian Art Gets Cozy Inside New SoHo Gallery

When we think of great Italian art most people are familiar with the Italian renaissance, artists like Michelangelo, Da Vinci and Rafael. Well now 20th century art is having a renaissance of its own with the new Center for Italian Modern Art or CIMA.

"The idea came from the experience I had in states that many people don't know Italian art or never had the opportunity to see the real works," says CIMA Founder Laura Mattioli. This first exhibition features works Laura Mattioli grew up with. Her father collected colorful works by Fortunato Depero. The futurist artist lived and worked in New York around 1930.
