Fourth and fifth graders at the North End’s Eliot School serenaded Italian songwriter and lyricist Giulio Rapetti Mogol with one of his own songs during his recent visit to the Eliot K-8 Innovation School. Students had the chance to meet with Maestro Mogol and presented him with pictures inspired by his songs.
Principal Traci Walker Griffith said, “We were thrilled to welcome this amazing artist!” Mogol returned the sentiment, noting that his Eliot School visit was the highlight of his trip. Maestro Mogol also met with students and professors at Harvard University and Berklee College of Music, where a concert was held in his honor featuring Eliot School’s own music teacher, Stefano Marchese.
