Seven Italian-American high school seniors were honored for their hard work at the Enrico Fermi Education Fund scholarship ceremony on Sunday. Each of the winners received $5,000 in scholarship money from the organization.
District Attorney Anthony Scarpino was the keynote speaker at the event. He says it is important for students to get an education in order to achieve their goals. The organization has been honoring generations of Italian-Americans with the scholarship for 54 years.
