Detroit-style pizza is enjoying a moment in the national spotlight right now, just as the brick-and-mortar restaurant where it all began celebrates 75 years in the square pizza business.
Buddy's Pizza will honor the milestone with events and specials throughout 2021, including the first annual National Detroit-Style Pizza Day on June 23. Since 2011, that date has been known locally as Buddy's Day.
