Wanting to share their authentic Italian specialties and New York-style pizza making culinary talents, a chef named Giovanni and a pizza maker named Joe decided to buy a restaurant in Port St. Lucie. They didn’t have to go far to find a name for their new venture. They named it, naturally, Gio-Joe’s.
The establishment is tucked in the back of a shopping center on U.S. 1 on the corner of Village Green Drive. Inside, the walls are rose-colored with posters of the Tuscan hills. The décor is neat and unfussy with black tables and booths. The restaurant has lots of windows, giving it an airy feeling.
