
An authentic Italian restaurant will open its doors in Carefree on Saturday. Pizzicata is an Italian restaurant located in the Historic Spanish Village that features a Roman take on food, according the restaurant’s website. Owner Federico Venturini and his wife, Viola Tagliaferri, moved from Umbria, Italy, to open Pizzicata along with local business owner Phillip Silvio Igneri.
One of the staple menu items for Pizzicata is pinsa, a Roman take on pizza that undergoes a different dough hydration process. Additionally, Pizzicata’s menu features salads, pastas, paninis and a full bar.
