Milan hospital will be the "symbol of Italy's victory against Coronavirus" Fiero Milano, an exhibition centre in Milan, has been converted into Italy’s largest intensive care facility for Coronavirus patients, in just 10 days. The pavilions of the vast building, which normally hosts fashion shows and trade fairs, will now accommodate 200 patients in need of intensive care.
Attilio Fontana, president of the Lombardy region, of which Milan is the capital, inaugurated the hospital on 30 March, saying: “It will be the symbol of our victory against Coronavirus and the symbol of the recovery of our nation.”
