The famous Trevi Fountain in Rome is filled once again with water as a year-and-a-half-long restoration come to a close.

The $2 million renovation was funded by the fashion company Fendi, thanks to the Italian government's passage of a new law offering a tax bonus equal to a 65 percent deduction for donations to cultural sites. Called Art Bonus, the incentive is aimed to encourage patrons to invest in the restoration of historic monuments for which the Italian government does not have the cash.
