Yesterday the new, faster Frecciarossa 1000 high speed train of Trenitalia made its maiden voyage between Rome and Milan, having on board a group of very important guests: the members of both the Italian and the European Parliaments' Transport Committees and the media.
The Frecciarossa 1000 can reach the maximum speed of 400 km/h and the commercial speed of 360 km/h and has been homologated to run at 300 km/h. The new train is entirely built in Italy by AnsaldoBreda, owned by Finmeccanica, together with Canadian group Bombardier.
