Three PDO cheeses obtain the ‘Made Green in Italy’ certification

Combining quality and sustainability to promote competitiveness in Italy and on international markets. With this aim in mind, the Grana Padano PDO and Provolone Valpadana PDO protection Consortia have obtained a positive outcome to the call for proposals published by the Italian Ministry of the Environment and Protection of Land and Sea under the ‘Made Green in Italy’ project, supported by Pecorino Romano PDO Consortium which is involved through Magis project’s European funding.

Made Green in Italy is the Italian national scheme for the evaluation and communication of the environmental footprint of products. It is based on the PEF (Product Environmental Footprint) methodology, developed by the European Commission to promote sustainable models of production and consumption.
