In southern Tuscany, a land of artistic and culinary wonders, rises up the dream village of Cortona. Located 30 km from Arezzo, Cortona, a village of Etruscan origin, stands on a hill, almost at 500 metres above sea level, from which you can admire the beautiful landscapes of the Val di Chiana.
The village is characterised by the presence of long city walls and a typical medieval architecture, made up of ancient buildings and narrow cobbled streets. Cortona has become famous worldwide since it was the setting for the adventures of the American author Frances Mayes in her autobiographical novel, and later film, "Under the Tuscan Sun".
