As every year since 2012, World Snow Day is celebrated on the third Sunday of January. Sponsored by the International Ski Federation, the event aims to promote skiing and snowboarding, which have declined among all winter sports in recent years. Therefore, the initiative is aimed at reversing this negative trend and bringing people closer to snow-related activities and winter sports.
The aim is to get these recreational activities back to the forefront, especially by appealing to the younger generations. In the not too distant future, children will be responsible for factories, companies and industries. They will have to learn how to take care of the environment from now on.
