The new store offsets Baldinini's strategic plan to move into the U.S. retail market. While the brand has participated in the market for the past five years, this is a way that the company can have real roots in the U.S. with a bricks-and-mortar flagship. Currently, the brand already conducts 5 percent of their business in the U.S.

This move will only further strengthen Baldinini's presence internationally. "We are working on the restyling of our boutiques which will display an increasingly modern and refined concept," chief executive officer Gimmi Baldinini said in a statement. The footwear brand also plans to open more stores in New Jersey, Florida and New York this year and into 2017.
