Bruno Magli, which will celebrate its 80th anniversary in 2016, has licensed Marcraft Apparel Group to produce its inaugural men's tailored clothing collection. The line of suits, sport coats, shirts and ties will launch for fall and retail for $895 to $995 with special fabrics selling for up to $1,495, according to Marcraft's Joe Gordon. The clothing will be made from all-Italian fabrics, manufactured in Italy, and will feature a half-canvas make, he said. Marcraft also holds the license for Ben Sherman clothing. Both Ben Sherman and Bruno Magli are owned by brand management firm Marquee Brands.
On Tuesday night, Marquee hosted an event at the Chef's Club on Mulberry Street in New York. The event, which was co-hosted by Food & Wine, served to showcase Magli's history and included a case full of the brand's archival women's shoes, a few styles from the men's and women's fall collection as well as the first peek at the tailored clothing.
