This Memorial Day weekend, the Columbus Citizens Foundation announced a pledge of $5,000 to the American Veterans Center. This pledge will help transport veterans to Washington DC for Monday's National Memorial Day Parade.
Angelo Vivolo, President of the Columbus Citizens Foundation, said of the donation, "There is no better timing than Memorial Day weekend for the Columbus Citizens Foundation to give back to our veterans. We do so in honor of 2008 Columbus Day Parade Grand Marshal Admiral Edmond P. Giambastiani Jr; 2006 Columbus Day Parade Grand Marshal General Peter Pace and 2012 Columbus Day Honoree General Raymond T. Odierno."
