In recognition of International Women's Month in March, COPOMIAO will once again present a series of "Donna Distinta" awards to women of Italian descent who have made indelible contributions to our community. Our first award goes to Brooklyn’s own Rossella Rago, a celebrity chef, author and social media influencer who has deftly promoted her nonna's old school Italian cooking traditions using new age digital platforms.
Immersed in her culture, Rossella speaks Italian fluently, she has traveled through the old country extensively, and right now she's playing a pivotal role in connecting younger generations to our culture. Stay tuned for an upcoming feature article on Ms. Rago!
(Share stories of the pivotal Italian and Italian American women in your life, as COPOMIAO works to recognize and pay tribute to the iconic figures in our community.)
