Lady Gaga won the Sports Emmy Award in the Best Musical Direction category for singing Hold My Hand before the start of the Super Bowl in New Orleans. Her performance, a tribute to the 14 people who died during the Jan. 1 terrorist attack on Bourbon Street, moved the world.

Now, Lady Gaga is only a Tony Award away from joining the Olympus of EGOT artists. And, that is, of those artists (currently only 16) who can boast of winning Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards.

The show involved dozens of rescuers, but also sports stars such as Tom Brady and Michael Strahan. Brady emphasized the importance of “never letting evil win,” while Strahan added, “We gather with heavy hearts for our families and friends.”

Over the course of her career, Lady Gaga has won 14 Grammy Awards. The first came thanks to her album The Fame Monster (2009), which won her awards for iconic tracks such as Bad Romance and Telephone. Since then, she has continued to garner accolades, spanning pop, jazz, and soundtracks. In 2020, she won for the album Chromatica, which marked a return to her dance-pop roots with an emotional and personal touch.

But, the Grammys, also rewarded his versatility for the jazz project in collaboration with Tony Bennett. Her most recent win came in February 2025, with the song Die With a Smile, which won over audiences and critics alike. Gaga celebrated the milestone with a special performance: at the piano, in the heart of New Orleans, accompanied by a local gospel choir. The Oscar, however, came for the song Shallow.
