This Sunday at 7:00 p.m., CBS’s 60 Minutes television news program will feature Rocco B. Commisso, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Orange County headquartered Mediacom Communications Corporation in a segment entitled “Only in America.” Commisso is one of the most successful Italian immigrant entrepreneurs in the nation’s history, and his story will be profiled on primetime’s oldest and most-watched newsmagazine on television.
Commisso’s career in the cable television industry spans over 37 years. He founded Mediacom Communications Corporation in 1995 and directed an initial public offering (IPO) of his company in 2000. Following the IPO, the company underwent rapid growth, and quickly became the 5th largest cable company in the US. Commisso took the company private in 2011 and today he is the sole owner of Mediacom.
