As of October 11th, 2017 visa applicants will have the possibility to complete their application online, through a new system called "E@pplication". Once completed online, the request will need to be printed out and personally presented to the Visa office of this Consulate on the day of your appointment - along with all requested supporting documentation and will be signed in the presence of a Consular Officer - the application may not be submitted electronically.
The Visa office will review and verify all the data present on the application form upon receipt of the request. This new service will render the visa application process much more efficient, by reducing processing times and assuring a better accuracy of the applicant's personal data. At this time this new system is optional, as it will be used along side the manual data entry of the visa applications into the system, by the Visa officers of the Consulate.
The online application system is available in both Italian and English by selecting the following link http://e-applicationvisa.esteri.it and is also accessible through the following online visa information portal http://vistoperitalia.esteri.it
