Blending Italian craftsmanship, 1950s style, modern electrical technology and an architectural eye, the SMEG line of small appliances brings a delightfully refreshing atmosphere to the kitchen. A collaboration between Matteo Bazzicalupo and Raffaella Mangiarotti of deepdesign and SMEG (the translation of the Italian acronym is 'Metal Enamelling Plant from Guastalla Emilia') , the collection includes 2 and 4-slice toasters, standard and variable temperature kettles, a stand mixer and a blender.
The kettle is a 7-cup, stainless steel kettle that features a removable and washable anti-scale filter, a base that swivels 360-degrees, and a lid that opens slowly and quietly. It is available in 7 colors and costs $129.99. Prices on the other appliance in the collection range from $149.99 to $459.99
