The Lido Civic Club of Washington, DC, an 85 year old civic and charitable organization has organized this tournamant since 1998 and will introduce the joy of great food and camaraderie that are the hallmarks of any Italian event.

The OPEN is a fundraiser for Lido's scholarship fund and Holy Rosary Church and its cultural center Casa Italiana in Washington DC. Lido's scholarship fund paid out $50,000 in 2013 to seven students of Italian American descent.

The Lido Civic Club, founded in 1929, has made it their mission to support the Italian American community in the Washington Metropolitan Area, in part by hosting this golf tournament each year.
