On Nov. 4, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. the Orange County Genealogical Society will be offering a program on “Acquiring Italian Records.” This program will be presented by Toni McKeen. The program will be held at the Goshen United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 115 Main Street in Goshen, (next door to the 1841 Historic Courthouse).
McKeen will walk visitors through four possible methods to locating foreign documents, what you will need to know before ‘hopping the pond’, how to read them, translation tips, and how to determine what these documents really tell us. The research principles are also valid for other nationalities.
