
Film aficionados have hungered for the return of Casa Italia’s beloved feast of Italian cinema, and the wait is finally over. The Casa’s 2022 Italian film series will reboot on Oct. 21 and run for four glorious Fridays. The host of the series will once again be Pam DeFiglio, a veteran Chicago editor, columnist and arts critic.
Here’s the lineup: October 21 “Momenti di trascurabile felicità” (Ordinary Happiness). October 28 “La dea fortuna” (The Goddess of Fortune). November 4 “L’uomo che comprò la luna” (The Man Who Bought the Moon). November 18 “Il primo Natale” (Once Upon a Time in Bethlehem). Films are screened in the ballroom of the Community Center at Casa Italia in Stone Park. Doors open at 7 p.m., and screenings begin promptly at 7:30 p.m.
