Look for a new Italian restaurant to open soon at the Lancaster Golf Club. Philadelphia-area native Alfonso Contrisciani wants to open Alfonso's Italian Grille and Event Center in early March in the clubhouse of the property. He also owns an Italian kitchen and bakery Nelsonville and that business will provide the baked good for here.
The menu will include pasta, steaks and chicken, meatballs, lasagna, along with organic vegetables and a pasta sauce bottled in Zanesville Contrisciani launched about eight years ago. "The breads we'll be baking here," Contrisciani said. "We're also going to feature pizza - deep dish and Neapolitan New York-style pizzas. We're going to be mid-priced and will be a casual dining experience. Nothing over the top. We're also going to be doing catering out of the rooms and events."
