International Dance Day, on April 29, will coincide with the publication of new never-seen-before content on the italiana Vimeo channel: DOAM (here the article). The documentary is based on Diary of a Move, a project by Italian-Japanese dancer Masako Matsushita (here the interview) in which over sixty people recorded and shared their day-to-day movements during the 2020 spring lockdown.

An extraordinary artistic experiment, a collective diary in the time of social distancing, narrated by its protagonists in Matteo Maffesanti’s film, which was written and managed by Beatrice Bresolin and produced by Operaestate Festival Veneto. The “Living the Italian Way on Stage”: initiative also includes several dance-related projects: the movements of Daniele Ninarello intertwine with the songs of Cristina Donà and the images of Saverio Lanza in the L’Universo nella testa theatrical work by Fondazione Fabbrica Europa e Ass. Cult. Codeduomo.

The fusion of theatre, dance and visual art are at the center of Creazione by Nestor Saied and Silvia Luzzi (Evolution Dance Theatre), while Difficult Lovers by Teatro Libero Palermo Onlus, Evgeny Kozlov and Luca Mazzone make and original dance-theatre creation come alive. In this piece, different characters meet along the road of love. In JUMP! by Opera Bianco, dance is the answer to the search for harmony and the dialogue between the rhythm of humans and the rhythm of the Earth, while in Gelsomina Dreams the blucinQue company revisits Federico Fellini's atmospheres with a contemporary perspective.
