While in different occupations and separated by generations, Cory Dragone and his great grandfather share a love of tradition and hard work. Dragone poured his passions into cooking, his great grandfather, Stefano, into blacksmithing.

When Dragone opened a restaurant with father, Steve, in November, they chose to pay homage to that family history. An inherited artisan tradition can be followed through a family history at, with roots in both blacksmithing and winemaking. So, the restaurant that took the spot vacated by Lemongrass Thai on Bozeman's south side became Blacksmith Italian.
