Call for Papers: Bruce Springsteen Symposium

Date: October 2, 2020 to October 4, 2020. Location: New Jersey, United States. Subject Fields: American History / Studies, Contemporary History, Cultural History / Studies, Music and Music History, Popular Culture Studies. You are cordially invited to submit abstracts and/or panel suggestions for an international scholarly conference devoted to the life, work, and influence of Bruce Springsteen, particularly in relation to his legendary album The River.

To submit an abstract, please go to https://www.monmouth.edu/brucesymposium/ and click on the abstract link. Abstracts should be 150-250 words in length to ensure full consideration. The conference will be held from October 2-4, 2020, at Monmouth University. The festivities will include various live acts, as well as keynote addresses by rock critics and figures from the music industry.

Papers will be considered for, but certainly not limited to, the session rubrics below. Full-panel submissions are also encouraged. The deadline for abstract submission is March 1, 2020.
