The Carlo Rambaldi Foundation is deeply moved and profoundly grateful to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for awarding Carlo Rambaldi a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This incredible honor, coming in the year of what would have been his 100th birthday, carries immense emotional significance for all who loved and admired his genius.
We extend our sincere thanks to Cinecittà and the Ministry of Culture for submitting the application and championing Carlo’s legacy, and to the many who have supported this recognition from the beginning. Carlo brought imagination to life, from E.T. to King Kong and Alien, and now, his name will shine eternally among the stars that inspired him.
Lucia Borgonzoni, Undersecretary for Culture, remarked:
“We are very happy about this great acknowledgement dedicated to a great Italian, and a great Emilian, who taught the world how to create special effects. In all our hearts he will forever live as the creator of ET. For some time now, the Ministry of Culture and Cinecittà have been working to properly and deservedly celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of this master, who continues to move and inspire us.”
The Carlo Rambaldi Centennial Committee, including members in California—Silvia Bizio, Cavaliere Anna Manunza, and Raffaella De Laurentiis—will soon announce a series of special initiatives to celebrate this milestone year.
With gratitude and wonder,
Daniela Rambaldi - President
Cristina Rambaldi - Vice President
Victor Rambaldi - Honorary President
