Internationally renowned organist Leonardo Ciampa will perform a concert of Italian organ music on Sunday, January 26 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at St. Leonard’s Church, showcasing the church’s new pipe organ. Installed last spring by the Peragallo Pipe Organ Company of New Jersey, the organ contains over 1,000 pipes.
Ciampa has played organ recitals in important cathedrals and basilicas in Italy, Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. Last October, he performed a concert of his own compositions at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York, the largest church in the Western Hemisphere.
