Exhibit celebrates Italians

Everything from antique sausage grinders to colorful clothing fashioned from fabric scraps will be on the display in "The Italian Heritage," the next quarterly exhibit at the Miners Hall Museum, Franklin. But that's only a part of the display.

"We've been trying to tell a story with our display and tie in people and families from southeast Kansas," said Linda Grilz. "We'll celebrate in a lot of ways, with food, wine, cooking and religion." She and Kaye Lynne Webb are in charge of the display, though Webb disputes that. "Linda is in charge, and I'm just her assistant," she said. Grilz said that most of those who came from Italy to southeast Kansas were from northern Italy.
