Frank De Santis, age 93, passed away on May 16, 2016. Frank proudly served in the U. S. Army as a Sergeant in the 264th Engineers Combat Battalion in Gen. Patton's army during WWII. He was discharged with 2 Bronze Stars. He attended the University of Detroit where he received a BS, an MA from Wayne State University and became a teacher, principal and Assistant Superintendent in the Detroit Public Schools. He then went on to become Superintendent of the Archdiocese of Detroit Catholic Schools. He retired to the private sector and opened a computer store with 15 computer learnings centers in Southeastern Michigan.
In 1999, he moved to Dublin, OH to be near family. He was a lifelong member of the Flevende Oerner Ski Club, former President of the Societa Dante Alighieri of Michigan, he was active at St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church and School as well at the 55+ Club. He was also active at the Dublin Recreation Center where he served on the board. Frank was a member of the Knights of Columbus and volunteered in many activities to help those in need.
