The enticing scent of herbs, spaghetti sauce and Italian sausage is a familiar one for many members of the Pueblo community, often greeting the familial owners of a small storefront on Elm Street by name as the customers purchase meats, cheeses and other Italian staples. This Saturday the Gagliano family, owners of Gagliano's Italian Market & Deli, will celebrate with their customers the past 100 years of operation in Pueblo, with plans for another 100 years to come.

The ceremony is planned for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the store, 1220 Elm St., featuring the likes of Mayor Nick Gradisar, live Italian music and a proclamation from Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO) will be presented to the family, which was also read in front of the U.S. Senate.
