Gianluca Guidi, Italian singer and actor, performs at the Institute opening the first edition of the "Peperoncino Jazz Festival - New York Session", which takes place from May 20 to May 26 in several locations around the city, including the Birdland Theater.
The "Peperoncino Jazz Festival", now in its XVIII edition, takes place during the summer months in Calabria, Italy, and presents for the first time a New York spring session, with the participation of great Italian and American (but with Italian origins) artists. John Patitucci, the Brooklyn-native, award winning bass player and composer joins, as co-artistic director, the festival's artistic director Sergio Gimigliano.
