Five New Jersey students, including one from Lyndhurst, have won the 2020 Silvio Laccetti Foundation’s Garibaldi Award, given annually to graduating high school seniors of exceptional merit in Italian studies and school/community activities.
Gabriella Bruno of Lyndhurst High School, who plans to study elementary education and history at the College of New Jersey in the fall, received the honor as the two-year president of LHS’s very active Italian club.
