When comedian Joe Piscopo was appearing on "Saturday Night Live" in the 1980s, he says he did an impression of legendary singer Frank Sinatra with great trepidation. "I didn't even want to do him," Piscopo says. "I hesitated, didn't want to do him. And then I'm a good team player; they said, 'Joe, we need you to do him because we need the numbers' and we were replacing the original 'Saturday Night Live' [cast]."

Piscopo says he so feared offending Sinatra that he essentially rewrote a skit with him as Old Blue Eyes and Eddie Murphy as Stevie Wonder singing "Ebony and Ivory." The impression not only was a hit, but it became one of Piscopo's signature bits during his four years on "Saturday Night Live."
