Italian beaches at full capacity, thanks to the increase in foreign tourists. This performance is also due to the political and economic instability of North Africa and the Eastern Mediterranean, primarily Greece. "We are seeing the arrival of nationalities that we were losing," explains Americo Pilati, the President of Federalberghi Liguria. "There is a growth, above all, of Scandinavians, followed by Lithuanians, Polish, and Romanians, and to date we see a +5% in arrivals. Particularly requested are areas in western Liguria, like Alassio, Diano Marina, Sanremo, Finale or timeless destinations, such as the Cinque Terre and Portofino. Even Mauro Piccini, the President of the Piazza di Spagna View chain, stresses the great return of the Scandinavians: "Scandinavia, but also Belgium and Holland," explains the manager, "are giving us positive signs.
