Carissimi Amici, the past year has been challenging for all of us...so it's time to celebrate good news! Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will be inaugurated in less than two weeks and the Democrats have taken back control of the US Senate. We're writing to invite you to join us for our Italian American Inaugural Celebration.

We hosted similar -- but in person -- parties for President Clinton's inauguration in 1997 and President Obama inauguration in 2009 and 2013. This year, we are honoring Dr. Jill Giacoppa Biden, the first Italian American in the White House! And we are giving Steve Ricchetti, Counselor to the President, our Italian American of the Year award. Our celebration is chaired by US Rep. Rosa DeLauro, just elected Chair of the US House Appropriations Committee.

We’ll have performances by entertainers, a special cooking demonstration from our dear friend Lidia Bastianich and toasts from Italian American celebrities and politicians.

Participation is free and open to all Italian American Democrats (and their friends and families).
