Last year Italy’s 2021 Eurovision winners, Måneskin won ‘Best Rock’ at the MTV EMAs 2021, as well as receiving two further nominations. Following the release of new single, ‘Supermodel‘, MTV have recognised their achievements in the industry once more. The VMAs are a celebration of the music video medium. As well as the chance to win the famous, “moon man” astronaut trophy.

With nominations in two major categories, this is the first time an Italian act has received a nomination in a main category. As the band of the moment, putting Italian rock on the world stage, they have earned nominations for ‘Best New Artist’ and ‘Best Alternative Video’. The latter for, ‘I Wanna Be Your Slave‘.
