New York, New York: Ms. Maria Bartiromo and Hon. Frank J. Guarini, former U.S. Congressman, will be honored at the American Foundation of Savoy Orders' Festa Della Primavera Spring Awards Reception on June 6, 2013 at the Columbus Citizens Foundation, 8 East 69th Street, in New York City. They will receive the Savoy Foundation's First Annual Chivalry Awards in recognition of outstanding service, generosity and civility in their distinguished careers and their unselfish commitment to public causes and personal dignity, which reflect the noble and ancient chivalric traditions of the Dynastic and Hereditary Orders of the Royal House of Savoy. The reception begins at 6:30 with the awards ceremony at 7:15 pm. Ms. Vivian Cardia will serve as the Event Chairperson.

The Chivalry Awards were inaugurated by the Savoy Foundation in 2013 to focus attention on the greater standards of knightly conduct which began in Europe during the Middle Ages. Even today the word "chivalry" is still synonymous with courtesy, honor and integrity. The Savoy Foundation wishes to perpetuate the concept of chivalry in modern times as both a code of conduct and a way of life, which embodies the highest ideals of civilization.

Ms. Maria Bartiromo is a respected industry leader, CNBC anchor and managing editor of a nationally syndicated television program, and an Emmy Award-winning journalist and author. In 1995, Ms. Bartiromo became the first journalist to report live from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange on a daily basis. She has covered Wall Street for 20 years. The Financial Times named her one of the "50 Faces That Shaped the Decade." A member of the Board of Trustees of New York University, Ms. Bartiromo is also on the Board of Directors of the New York City Ballet, the Girl Scout Council of Greater New York and the National Italian American Foundation (NIAF). She is a member of the Board of the Young Global Leaders of the World Economic Forum, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Economic Club of New York, and the Board of the Columbus Citizens Foundation.

Former United States Congressman from New Jersey, The Honorable Frank Guarini, was a seven term member of the House of Representatives. He served on the Ways and Means Committee and was a senior member of the Trade, Internal Revenue Laws and Social Security Subcommittees. He also was a senior member of the Budget Committee and principal sponsor of the Educational Assistance Act. Congressman Guarini represented the United States as a delegate to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and as the U.S. Representative to the United Nations General Assembly. He is the recipient of numerous awards and distinctions as well as the dedicatee of several buildings in the United States and Italy. In addition to many other awards, Congressman Guarini received Italy's highest decoration, Knight of the Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Italy. He has served as NIAF chairman, president and a member of the Board of since 1988. At NIAF, Congressman Guarini championed the preservation of the study of Italian and the reinstatement of the College Board's Advanced Placement Program (AP) in Italian Language and Culture.

The American Foundation of Savoy Orders' Festa della Primavera is one of New York City's premier annual events. Tickets to the Festa della Primavera Spring Awards Reception begin at $150 per person. Proceeds benefit Italian Language Programs in the United States.
