Study the science of art and the art of science," Leonardo da Vinci advised more than 500 years ago. DuPage Children's Museum's new traveling exhibit on da Vinci's artistic and mechanical innovations gave area philanthropists the chance to do just that at an opening reception Thursday.
"It's unusual to see an exhibit about Leonardo da Vinci in a children's museum, but we're very proud," said Consul General Giuseppe Finocchiaro, of the Italian consulate in Chicago. "Every item, every article is designed to inspire children. I'd like to find a way to bring it to museums in Italy."
