New Dodge Dart is American of Italian descent

When first we visited with the modern Dodge Dart, it was a fresh-faced immigrant that didn't fully understand Americans. It was just two years ago, though it seems longer. The 2013 model, introduced in early 2012, was one of the early efforts of the eventual takeover of Chrysler by Fiat of Italy.

It revived a name that had dwelled happily in the hearts of a substantial number of American motorists. The original Dodge Dart, produced from 1960 to 1976, was thoroughly American, nothing like the Italian-American upstart.
