Presentation of the book of the life and writings of Orienta Badia. Wednesday, January 5, 2022. 4:00 AM – 5:30 AM CET. Online event. This talk introduces participants to the extraordinary life of Orienta Badia-a second generation Italiana who possessed rare and pertinent talents that still remain so in 2022. She was born with the gift of dance and helped support her family during the Great Depression.
She unknowingly followed the Italian immigrant tradition of writing down the history, values and traditions of her family and culture-and write she could! The book brings to light so many current issues and how they were dealt with during the great Depression and the decades that followed.
