Paolo Sorrentino and Mario Martone come out on top at Italy's Nastri d’Argento awards

The big names of Italian cinema, as well as the city of Naples, triumphed at the 2022 edition of the Nastri d’Argento awards, handed out every year by the SNGCI, with Paolo Sorrentino and Mario Martone receiving the most votes from Italian film journalists.

At the awards ceremony, held last night at the MAXXI in Rome, The Hand of God [+] collected six awards: Best Film, Best Actress in a Leading Role (Teresa Saponangelo), Best Supporting Actress (Luisa Ranieri), Best Casting Director, Best Cinematography (ex aequo with The Inner Cage [+]) and the 'Guglielmo Biraghi' Prize for its leading actor Filippo Scotti (who shares the award with Lina Siciliano from Una Femmina - The Code of Silence [+]).
