Parishioners feast on St. Joseph sweets

Parishioners of St. Joseph Church have their patron saint to thank for a sweet treat they indulge in just once a year. That would be zeppole, the rich Italian pastry churchgoers enjoyed Sunday in observance of St. Joseph's Feast Day, which occurred at the spring equinox on Saturday.

Along with fathers, workers, the Archdiocese of Hartford and the Roman Catholic Church, St. Joseph is the patron saint of the holy family. Members of the parish celebrated as one big family with coffee and zeppole after Sunday's Mass.
